weekly wrap up + bovey lee

we started the day with paper-cuttings and so better way to end it than with another incredible artist working with detailed paper cuttings, bovey lee. bovey’s work is so delicate, but so powerful when you look at the details. i would love to see a video of bovey makes each piece. want to see more of bovey’s work? just click here. i’m off to try on my wedding dress so until monday, i hope you all have a wonderful weekend! below a summary of this week’s highlights:

I can’t find the words for how amazing this is. So delicate, so poetic… The technique is incredible, but all I see is a story waiting to be told.

This really defies comprehension. She could have been a surgeon! Thankfully for us she isn’t.

Her work is a lot like Tord Boontje’s, except done by hand instead of laser-cut. Amazing.

oh wow these are amazingly detailed, and i imagine, take a lot of control and patience (two things i really need to work on:)
