sneak peek: simon and rebecca finger

finger1
i wanted to add one more home tour today- designed by jill dupre, who we just visited at home below. she is responsible for the interior design in this beautiful new orleans home, belonging to simon and rebecca finger. jill describes the project as a “team effort” with a young family that is “full of energy”- and the results are just beautiful. i’m pretty taken with that chalkboard in the kitchen but there’s something special in each room. be sure to click “read more” below for more images after the jump. thanks to jill for sharing!

love the high contrast in the common areas…and the softer feel of the more private areas of the house.

but i am adler’ed to death. do we ALWAYS have to be subjected to his ubiquitous vases? and lighting?

Grace,
I think this is one of the best sneak peeks in a while. There are parts of this space that are very well executed and obviously the whole place was well thought out. Loved it! Very inspirational.

Loving the kids’ beds, too. I think they are the “loft beds” from Room & Board. I’ve been wanting those, but am afraid my little one might roll off the tall one at night as there are no railings…

liz said:
April 14th, 2009 - 5:27 pm

wonderful!

where is the round mirror from that’s in the baby’s room?

April 14th, 2009 - 6:19 pm

Hi, thanks for all the kind words and to Grace for posting. The twin beds are the loft beds at Room and Board. The upholstered master bed is by Oly. The lake wallpaper is from http://www.walldecorshops.com/AK1824.html. The big round mirror is Ikea, as is the swing in the kids rooms. The painting over the giraffe by stephanie nance at http://www.stephanienancestudio.com. Please email me with any other questions. jpdupre@bellsouth.net Thanks for looking. Jill
