weekly wrap up + SCAD event next week!

impactist_strings02_450
well, this is my last friday in brooklyn before the wedding- next week i’ll be blogging from savannah where i’ll be part of a panel discussion for scad’s style week. so if you’re in the savannah area please come join me at the “design blogs: creativity, connection and community in cyberspace” panel. i’ll be speaking with carrie culpepper the the lovely katie runnels (who made my cake topper for the wedding). our panel is on tuesday, april 21st at 4pm at red gallery. hope you can make it! also, just a programming note: i’ll be blogging a normal schedule next week and will only be taking off two days for our mini-moon the following week (our honeymoon isn’t until late may). so i’ll see you on monday! have a wonderful weekend!

i also wanted to share these beautiful string pieces from the crew at impactist- they always do the coolest work. thanks, kelly! and, last but not least, some images of david wiseman’s new window installation at r20th century. i can’t get enough of his lighting

[ps: if anyone has feedback on the flip video cameras i'm looking for video cam advice right here. thanks! figured i should ask around before i commit..]

I’m also attending Tuesday’s panel. Thank you for bringing attention to the great events SCAD offers. I’m from Sav, but didn’t realize they hosted such interesting topics until this article.

I don’t Twitter, so I’m leaving my Flip Camera review here. I just bought an HD one for my cousin and his wife for their destination wedding. It’s awesome. The image quality is great and steady and the camera is so small- so easy to use in any situation. Plus, I love that I got to customize the exterior design (I did an Aspen Mt. illustration since that is where they met). You can only put 60 min of footage on there, but they had their computer with them so they could download everything.

I live in Atlanta, Savannah is so wonderful and SCAD is awesome. If I didn’t have a handful of finals, I would have loved to visit.
I hope you have a wonderful time at panel!
