Great improvements on both!! I am especially a fan of the drawer…did you cut up one for the separators? =)

I actually like the mirror better before, the two tones give it depth and it’s kinda busy for a bulletin boards, imho.

That display case is the stuff dumpster-dive dreams are made of. Is it complicated math and do I need power tools?

My mom has that same mirror and I’ve been wondering what to do with it for years!

I well aware of how a little coat of paint can go a long way but I have to say that the mirror make-over makes me a little sad. What a beautiful piece.

I am not keen on the mirror one. I don’t really like it before or after, sorry! But I LOVE LOVE LOVE the drawer one. How cute! I posted about something similar to those little shelves last week.

Not too fussy about that mirror – before or after, but I love the drawers. It is such a neat idea!

I love the drawer piece because it is such an unexpected relook – I was totally surprised when I scrolled down which you can’t always say with these DIY projects, although they are always fun to look at.

Good idea on the drawer! The compartments make deeper storage for bigger items. :)

Fantastic salvage of a nasty plastic mirror that could hardly be called a vintage treasure. While some adore junk, I would much rather see it’s finer features enhanced. Great work!

my grandmother has had that exact same mirror hanging on her wall for years!! i am dying to know where it came from. for the record to everyone else: it’s very cheap feeling plasticy stuff and would take a pretty special (maybe even ironic) surrounding context to elevate it to art. i might have wanted to see it painted a super-saturated color over white, but there’s definitely no crime in painting it.

It came from a Home Interiors Party. I had one myself.
