before i wrap up icff coverage today (and make room for a beautiful sneak peek), i wanted to end our UK celebration today with my favorite designer from the show. this will be her second year running and rightfully so- miranda meilleur is a phenomenal designer.

based in wales, designer and silversmith miranda meilleur has yet again stolen my heart with her work. miranda’s designs show such attention to detail, and such reverence for a craft we don’t see a lot of at icff (it would be interesting to see more silversmiths there!). i was so excited to see her booth right at the start of the show and instantly found myself oohing and ahhing over her new (and still in prototype form) silver coffee scoops (shown above) and her delicately crafted spoons and bowls. for all the high-end white plastic furniture at the show, it’s wonderful to see that someone like miranda can not only show at a fair like icff, but thrive there. i heard from so many people that she was again a favorite, and i personally love finding out that a designer is as friendly and humble as their designs are beautiful and well-crafted. i hope to share more with miranda here soon, so i’ll let her images do the talking for now. click here to check out her work online, and here to see the sweet silver cups she made for the shop horne wedding from last week. (there more images from miranda below)

this beautiful wooden screen from koi was a beautiful way to end my show visit. i somehow missed this booth and the warm glow from the wood in this booth caught my eye on the way out. so lovely.

for some reason i loved this shelf at the deadgood booth. perfect for the washroom in your home. it keeps your towels and reading together, love it.

designer hyock kwon showed a series of great flat-pack pieces that were incredibly light and flexible- but also incredibly strong. i also loved his clever spin on business cards- stamped notebook paper that you can rip off as you go. so fun.
[STAY TUNED FOR MORE ICFF COVERAGE TOMORROW!]
