new: present & correct + nss preview: chewing the cud

fw-dscn0096
i can safely file all these designs under “things i’d like to own in the not so distant future”. first up are these beautiful gift wrap cloths from chewing the cud. inspired by japanese furoshiki (i collect these types of cloths with a vengeance), viola’s new textiles feature graphics that speak to the idea of giving luck and wisdom (with graphics like 4-leaf clovers, trees and elephants). you can check out her new designs in person at the nss, booth #2158 (or right here on the web).

next up is this beautiful new “color wheel” print from present & correct. this limited edition, hand-printed poster is available right here for $23.

love the graphics on these and, love the idea… it’s time has definitely come! I don’t think anyone feels good about throwing out wrapping paper anymore…

I love the “lucky” fabric, but the designer should know that you always show horseshoes with the ends pointing up, so that the luck doesn’t run out!

I want some of these! But I can’t find them anywhere in her shop!

What an awesome thing to accompany a gift, after its done wrapping something it could rest on a side table. So pretty!

Alix, I believe there are two different views to that. Depending on the culture, a horseshoe facing down could mean the luck is being poured onto you.

hooray! these are adorable. chewing the cud does amazing work, it’s so exciting to see them branching out into textiles now. :)

Those are beautiful–I love the graphics in all the same color from Chewing the Cud!
