Wondering where you can find good contact paper like shown on the dresser re-do?????? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dresser is a hard wood veneer on the top, sides and front. I could see this because the veneer was peeled off on the corner front edge (which you can se in the photo.). The drawers were a thicker veneered front.

I have refinished wood pieces before…but this seemed more like a piece to have fun with then to restore.

I appreciate that it is not a project that would appeal to purists or…men who notice furniture.

I realize that i am among women here who probably appreciate froufie design style way more than I do.. BUT..

Come on! That dresser? look at the flame in the wood, its beautiful. And it matches from drawer to drawer. I just dont know why anyone would take something like that and rather than refinish the wood, instead turn it into some ikea looking crap with a cheap coat of paint and some walmart contact paper. Its baffling to me.

wow – they both look great! I would love to know the name of the shop that upholstered the chair (if in the NYC area) and about how much it cost.
