before & after: monica’s frames + michelle’s mirror

dscf4379
i’m still wading through before & afters for today but i wanted to start the makeover spree with these designs from monica at craftynest and michelle at three men and a lady.

monica turned a simple window frame into a wallpaper-display that is easily customizable and lets you mix and match with your bedding. it’s a great way to use wallpaper samples if you have any floating around…

michelle at three men and a lady turned a pretty generic gold mirror into a fun pinboard for her home office. i love the burlap back and the white knob she used to hang the frame…

The wallpaper idea is genious! Talk about design on a dime!

I love this idea! My MIL found an old mirror at a yard sale for $10 that doesn’t really go with our decor. Now I feel like I have a great idea for sprucing it up and hanging it in my home office!

They’re both so inspired!

Fabulous make-overs. really love the mirror and of course the walk-in robe. If only I could spare the spare room for it! Well done :)

Love this! I’ve been trying to do something similar (with sheet metal) for months, but no luck. I just cannot find a cheapish frame or mirror in New York City. Anyone out there have any great sources? I’ve tried the usual suspects (fleas, housing works, craigslist, etc.)

Thanks for posting my window frame, Grace! Michelle’s mirror project reminds me of the one I did last month: http://www.craftynest.com/2009/05/ugly-plastic-mirror-bulletin-board/ I think I like Michelle’s better.

I looooove that frame with wallpaper (could also be fabric); a great way to coordinate with the bedding, drapes, etc.

Love the pin board! It is so cool. It inspires me to get moving on some of my long forgotten make over projects.

Michelle is my daughter-in-law. So, proud of everything she does to her home! She is fully of ideas. It is a treat to stay in her home. (We live out of state)
