before & after: pierce and ashley’s bathroom

piercebefore1
talk about a sweet makeover- designer pierce davis of columbus, ohio made over this bathroom as a valentine’s gift for his girlfriend ashley, who recently moved in with him. pierce explains that he did this project “in the most difficult possible way.. since there wasn’t enough room for a projector, i drew the trees freehand onto a layer of painters tape, then i cut out the shapes with an exact o knife and rolled the paint on. afterward, i peeled the mask off to reveal the trees.” whew! such a sweet and patience boyfriend to take on a project like that. thanks so much to pierce for sharing!

When I saw the before with the claw foot tub I was afraid to scroll down because I thought they may have gotten rid of it, but much to my happiness they didn’t! It is a beautiful space, the painted floral silhouette is really subtle and beautiful. Great job!

That’s a beautiful bathroom renovation. Love the white trees with the blue ~ I’m such a sucker for white accessories and blue walls, so nice and calming.

The shelf above the shower curtain rod is so clever, it doesn’t look like there’d be any ledge to put a shampoo bottle on in that gorgeous tub!

How wonderful, especially the dog. She is a lucky girl.

I love love love the stencil-work tree on the wall. When my husband and I have children, I plan to do a “forest room” in exactly this style, except the whole room will be silhouetted trees! I’m happy to see it can be done!

i always love seeing how awesome and innovative the people of columbus are. it makes me so happy to know that there is another beautiful home in my city.

on another note, i’d like to thank you for posting this – i wanted to put a silhouette in a bathroom i’m making over, but with no room for a projector, i was mystified as to how to do it. this looks like the perfect fix!

love the trees, what a beautiful blue! And the shelf above the tub is great too, bathtub storage can be so ugly!

how do they reach their shampoo all the way up there on that shelf? I would love to do that, but I think I might be too short :( great idea though!

Its really great to see someone include a bathroom redesign. I’m presently working on my bathroom and I was looking for some inspiration, some new ideas for accessories or what not. The wall stencils is a great idea! Hope to see some more bathroom redesigns on this site.

i bet the rest of your home is gorgeous!!!
