before & after: pool table makeover

jennybefore
well this is definitely a d*s first: a pool table before & after! i’m not normally a pool table fan (all that green felt!), but this upgrade from jenny and andy is seriously cool. andy and jenny are lucky to live in grand cayman and recently found a pool table at on their local second hand listing service. it was badly beaten up with stains on the wood and warped railings, but jenny thought it had potential. so they took it apart, sanded it well, painted it a clean, bright white and re-felted it with a grey/blue felt. the result? the most modern pool table i’ve ever seen. kudos to andy and jenny on the great work!

[have a before & after you'd like to share on d*s? just shoot me an email with your pictures right here and give your email the subject: "before and after"]

I’m with you – not a fan of pool tables – but this is one I wouldn’t mind having in my house! Very cool!

Haha…they are. Gotta give a guy something if you’re going to paint his pool table white!

Thanks for showing the table Grace…all the inspiration came from this site. :)

That’s seriously hot. I’m not a pool player so, to me, pool tables just seem ugly and gross, but this one is actually beautiful!

When I read your link to this post on twitter, I was totally cringing that the image would be something a little bordello-ish, inspired by Alex + Simon of the Real Housewives NYC, but alas, its actually a chic take on a pool table.

Totally unexpected but great considering how much space these puppies take up. Thankfully we have no space for mancaves in the ‘Slope!

:) I got a pool/dining table a couple of weeks ago and lined it with this exact same cloth!

I wish mine was as ornate as this, but it had to be factional for dining as well.

You gave me something to dream about for the next upgrade!

it’s about time someone does something about the old pool table. Well done.

Sooooooo chic! If I had a pool table this is the one I’d want! Definitely very elegant and stylish. Not your typical dive bar pool table with the dark wood and bright green…I can’t say I love it enough!

I never thought I’d say a pool table was beautiful…but this is beautiful :) I just love how clean & crisp it is.

Yep, I officially want a pool table now. This is gorgeous!

When I saw the title of this post I wasn’t sure what to expect, but what a great project! The paint made a WORLD of difference. Very cool.

Awsome!

Brings med back to the mid eighties, when I did the same with my old billard table. Blue cloth and shiny, bright white – so very cool! I regret that I did let i stay behind when I moved – wonder where it is now?
