sneak peek: barbara of atelier lzc

atelierlzc1
it’s no secret that i’m a complete francophile, and when it comes to great french design atelier lzc is on the a-list. barbara zorn is one of the three designers that makes up the studio, and the star behind today’s sneak peek. just like the fun, bold patterns that she creates, i love seeing how the same inspirations make their way into her living space. click here for more, full-sized images. [merci barbara et catarina!] -anne

the living room is the room that is full of flowers, with a pink marble chimney.  the chairs were bargain finds and the couch is julie prisca. . . the large dining room table is covered in a table cloth by tissage moutet. the furniture is salvaged metal with lots of plants and souvenirs of our travels.

the bedroom is full of blues with spacious furniture with an oak parquet floor. the unique illustrations on the wall and the pillows complete the space.

louise’s room is full of color, calm, light filled and full of wonderful objects that range from Petit Pan to Ikea.

I am so smitten with the baby room! I only dream of being able to put such a fun, mod little room together for a little girl. The flooring in the living room is stunning too!

I love the nursery, the rest is not my style but it is lovely nevertheless. One question: Where did she get that elephant in the first shot? I LOVE IT.

This nursery is so cute and colorful! I love all the stuffed animals, especially the monkey hanging off the crib! The pediatrician in me is compelled to add a reminder for safety–you should never put your infant to sleep in a crib with pillows and soft toys because it is a risk for sudden infant death syndrome…but the pillows do LOOK good when the infant is awake :)

love all the art! particularly the 2 above the sofa, and the piece above the gray ikea locker… could you tell us where they are from?

also is that an ikea crib that you painted? it looks awesome!!! (if so what type of paint did you use?)

lovely home, will be bookmarking for inspiration!

I love Atelier LZC’s work and have been following it for years. I especially love the unique color combinations they put together with organically inspired images. so nice to see this post. we sell their Danica towels at the shop and they are so popular.

I love the bright colors in this place! So Happy! Thank you for sharing.

The pair of artwork above the blue bed is beautiful. May I ask where are they from and who did them?

I love the painted IKEA crib. I have two of the Gulliver cribs and I”ve been wanting to paint them but have heard horror stories about trying it. Any tips? Any special type of paint???? I’d love to know!!

I love it. Do you know that her “atelier” is open this week-end for a special sale (near Paris, at Montreuil – 2 rue Berthelot) ?

Beautiful place. I have the exact same elephant (as does another viewer). I also have the matching zebra puppet. I got mine at a garage sale here in lovely Portland, Oregon.

I love the mix of patterns used through-out the interiors from artwork to textiles. And I especially love the view from the window!

That’s a very sweet, playful nursery. Nice to see an inviting change from the typical blue for boys, pink for girls look

Is there a US outlet for products made by Moussage Moutet. Their website won’t translate and it looks like they don’t ship internationally.
