^ Jen - I actually did that very thing for my wedding! My mom and MIL are pretty crafty, so my dad supplied the birch and they stitched the bark semi-circles into "vases" for us. We had large ones for the stage and smaller ones for the tables. I was SO HAPPY with how they came out!
