i’m a sucker for beautiful ceramics so i was excited to hear from nicolas at studio room 906 about a new porcelain series called ‘150ml’. 150ml is a set of five porcelain vessels originally cast by five different types of wood. each vessel comes with its own box (made out of the same wood used for the original casting) and is designed to hold a capacity of 150ml, despite the difference in scale between the pieces. the idea behind the project is to ‘investigate how the true volume of objects can be disguised by labels or different shapes and sizes”. no matter what their capacity is, i think the series is lovely. click here for more information on nicolas’ 150ml series.
