before & after: wen’s nightstand

lazybefore
wen from the lazy peacock sent in this crafty before & after. after picking up this nightstand at a local thrift store for $4, wen thought that the little piece has potential. deciding that the nightstand needed some rounded feet, wen attached a cute pair with liquid nails, found a plain 10″ ceiling medallion at a local hardware store for $5 and new hardware at home depot. after a little sanding, filling and painting wen added the new medallion and hardware and finished everything off with 2 coats of white gloss spray paint. total cost of the finished project? $18.94. well done, wen!

I bought the same hardware at Home Depot just literally last night… crazy! I’m going to swap out the knobs on the Ikea Hemnes dresser and I am deciding between those and the special order pulls that are similar to the Bungalow 5 Brigitte chest. Great job on this!

It says painted, then spray painted… what type of paint is under the spray paint? Looks great. I have some old lamp bases, a large desk, and 2 dressers that I would love to paint. Some wood, some laminate. Any suggestions on what works best on laminate or press board?

Beautiful! The ceiling medallion was a brilliant idea.

Taryn, Liquid Nails is a brand of wood glue.
