I made something almost exactly like this out of MDF board [cheap and lightweight] and i used those Command Strips to hang it up. [Medium size. about four per drawer] They have stuck up on the wall for several months, and no signs of coming down soon! They are very simple, and super easy, and they come off easily with no marks!

yes it is exactly right!

then it is a little annoying to attach them, but once they are fixed they will not move.

Adorable! I’m still not clear on how you attach them to the walls. I understand that you cut the drawer pulls to exactly the width of the two pieces of wood put together. So they just screw into the wood. Now, what about the “drilling halfway through the larger rectangle?” Is that where the nail heads are inserted when they meet up with the nails in the wall? Thanks!

Hobby Lobby is having a 50% off sale on some really great knobs!!! They are as nice and even better than those pricey Anthroplogie knobs. I bought a bunch.
They have very large sizes as well. Door Knobs also.
