I am now dying for that rock tub... I think my landlord might just freak out a bit though if he went through to do a repair or something, and found that the bathroom was now occupied by a boulder....

The Little Mermaid was the only original version fairytale that I read before I was 7... I liked the disney a lot better, but after hearing the Grimm versions of all the Disney hacked movies, I started to love the disturbing fairytale. What with Rapunzel being in a desert, her prince being blinded, and all of a sudden she has kids in the desert? Obvious enough what was happening in that tower!
Little Red Riding Hood wins for being most bitter, because everyone but the lumberjack dies and it is confirmed by the contents of the wolf's stomach...

HCA is my favorite of the fairy tale writers because not all his stories have happy endings. But I love them so. Also love Asya's ceramics! I'm picking up some mugs from her this Sunday at BK Flea. Love your posts!

I love bathtubs, and all of these beautiful bathing goodies just made my morning!

And as much as I loved Disney's, I have to say that when I read the Hans Christian Anderson version I was scarred for a bit. :P

Ooh, I never knew the Little Mermaid became a daughter of air - I only heard the bitter ending (no sweet) of her turning into foam - the reason why the sea always has it.

Great post. That salt scrub looks yummy. And who the heck knew you could get a rock tub? You did, obviously.

Super cool idea for a post. However much I love Disney's The Little Mermaid, there's something so sweet and beautiful (altthough tragic) about the Hans Christian Andersen version. It's the version for grown-ups.
