I think you are right… they are very sweet, and have a little punch, too. I love how you put it, “used sparingly.” As a visiting resident of Colorado for almost two years, I actually got what the Denver songs were all about…esp. visiting the Rocky Mountains.

As a child in the 70’s, I was probably overexposed to macrame and like this 2009 rendition quite a lot! Great colors!

Owls will never be out of style. And I love these but I almost think they look more like an owl in the close up rather than the whole things.

My Grandma had an “owl” themed bathroom. Every time I see them I think of her, great memories. ;)

I love how they read both as owls and as an abstracted African type mask. These would be great for adding a little pop of texture into a blank space, or giving a sense of humor to a wall hung with “serious” art.

I love them! I have some macrame wall hangings that my mother had made when she was in highschool. They scream 1970’s and I love it! I am a bit jealous that she was around in the 70’s, I love that era! These are a fabulous modern take.

macrame always makes me think of my parents (who got married in 1974) and i love it! no apologies, macrame has its place.

This designer is amazing. I am fortunate enough to have met her and she puts so much time and effort into her work. She absolutely adores the older crafts and wants to resurrect them with a modern touch. Bring it on!
