I thought I would share the amazing transitional wallpaper collections of Lene Toni Kjeld today.
Danish Designer Lene has created a capsule collection of patterns that can be used together to softly transition one print to another seamlessly within a room. It is quite unlike anything I have seen before and I think the ability to define interior spaces with a merging pattern {rather than two entirely different ones} is a fantastic and unique idea, especially with so many people living in open-plan housing and apartments these days!

Just imagine, before a collection like this – most people would use wallpaper to define a space and to add interest, perhaps on one wall and then usually have to stop or continue with flat colour in the rest of the space. With shifting pattern like this, one could add an fantastically unique feel to a space through careful placement of the merging sections…
I also really like the way the patterns morph and become decayed looking and deconstructed in style – this might be a difficult look to incorporate in a small domestic dwelling {I am imagining in a low-ceilinged space it could be almost too much} but I would LOVE to see it in a more industrial setting like a large open plan loft with high ceilings and lots of walls to show it off to the best advantage!

Truly beautiful! I think this one {two!} is my personal favourite…
I saw Lene’s work a few years ago in Elle Decoration magazine {UK} and was delighted to rediscover it the other day when browsing the gorgeous selection of wallpapers available from Hermitage :: Bespoke Wallpapers…I really adore the collection of designs Hermitage owner Jennifer June has curated. Creating a wonderful tone and house style, even though she sources patterns from designers around the world…it is no mean feat to create such an eclectic yet perfectly harmonious portfolio of patterns.
I hope you all take some time to browse around the Hermitage site…I for one could get lost there for many hours! ;)
