enjoy cupcakes

room
this post’s title sounds like a delicious command, but it’s actually the name of a beautiful “cupcakery” in los olivos, california (the location of friday’s ribbon wedding!). owner/baker amber vander vliet runs enjoy cupcakes within a beautiful wine tasting lounge called saarloos and sons. she thought the interior might be of interest to d*s and well, she was right. i’m a sucker for a place that combines my two favorite things- food and great design.

my favorite part of amber’s photo tour has got to be the vintage trailer that she brings to special events and farmer’s markets. i wish she would park that portable-cupcake-heaven in front of my front door. i’ve chosen my favorite design details from the shop above and below the jump, but you can check out more images of the tasting room (designed by heather saarloos) and enjoy cupcakes right here. thanks, amber!

I want to spend the rest of my life there! I adore the use of the darker neutral colors – it really anchors what could otherwise be a very pastel environment.

That camper wouldn’t happen to be a 1960-ish Banner camper would it? I just bought one for $800–these photos are such an inspiration into what it could be!

I do a lot of baking for friends and family and always find it difficult to transport cupcakes. where are the cute two-seater cupcake boxes from? and are they available in larger sizes?

Thank you so much d*s and thank you all for the kind words. It makes it all worth it! To answer the questions above: The trailer is a 1964 Shasta Airflyte. The bottles are vintage and the cross tops are made with vintage crystal chandeliers. The chairs are conversation chairs and when 2 are opposite you can speak from across the room to each other. Boxes are from u-line. And thanks Amy and Gale we will see you hopefully on Thursday. Enjoy!

I was just there last weekend! I have to say, it is even more gorgeous in person. It was the most stylish tasting room/cupcakery I’ve ever been too!

The wine and cupcakes are both fantastic. I love spending time in the tasting room as well as on the patio. Are the vintage bottles with the cross tops available for purchase anywhere online? If so, can you share the website and the designer’s name please?
