hp mini by tord boontje

tord
i’m a huge tord boontje fan. huge. so when d*s reader sandie sent me a link to the new hp mini computer (and website) designed by tord i practically squealed with delight. not only is tord’s design for the website perfectly dreamy and romantic, but the computer itself is pretty darn adorable. i feel like tord’s work is the perfect antidote to city life- it always takes me away to some magical forest where animals leap through the air and the sky is constantly full of dancing slowflakes. ah, to be in that world today and not overcast brooklyn. click here to view the full website the computer information. thanks, sandie!

ps: the animal-spotting game on the site is a fun time-waster. try the night vision goggle when looking for hidden animals in tord’s work…

It must be a popular site today. I couldn’t get it to load. I’ll try again later. I’m totally tempted by the pics you posted. Looks really cool.

Great post! I had no idea. Will have to link this on my blog today!

Hate to say it, but this could be the thing that switches me from my mac-only existence. Beautiful!

Love him too, but too bad it is HP. They are the absolute worst computers on the market right now. Wish it was a Toshiba or a Mac.

That’s so nice. I’ve been thinking about getting a mini laptop – I’m getting an imac for designing and general powerful stuff but it would be nice to have a lil laptop purely for internet and portability purposes. And this is pretty. When is it out in UK? Anyone know?

It’s so pretty! I adore Tord Boontje’s designs. :) Too bad this laptop runs on Atom.

I wish I had seen this last week! I love Tord’s work. My new Dell mini arrived last night, planning on taking it instead of my Mac to Istanbul. I do wish Mac would make a mini and with such groovy designs.

My friend’s HP just spontaneously crashed after less than a year of use- no recoverable information. That’s what’s wrong with HP.

Grace- you got lucky! My boyfriend is Mr. Computer fixer and his best friend works for HP. They are made with the worst of all components and he says that usually they last about 1 year. He fixes more of those than anything else. You got lucky with a good one!

weird- my family has had them for a long time and never had an issues. ironically the only computers i’ve had problems with were macs, although i now have one of those, too. the best computer i ever had was a 6 year old toshiba, that thing just couldn’t be stopped.

I guess it must only be available outside the US because it is not available on the US HP website???

this is amazing, tord is my fav designer. I would love to have a little mini laptop. Right now have a hand-me-down beast of an hp, proven indestructible after running night and day for over a month.
