depressingly awesome? how about just…awesome! this is a great book. and if you ever have a chance to meet brian murphy, take it! even 23 years after publication, these rooms and colorways still seem exciting and fresh. highly recommended reading.

I can’t see the sconce as a sconce. It looks like a triangle storage device, which seemed like a great idea, though maybe more useful 20 years ago.

And I love my orange Koh-I-Noor triangle most of all.

I’ve ALWAYS wanted graffiti walls and just beamed with delight when I saw some showcased in the murals.

Fantastic!

I remember when this book came out. I think I’ve spent about 3 million hours pouring over its pictures.
