I am going to Amsterdam in two weeks, and I can’t wait!!! Another place not mentioned here is the Citizen M hotel…that’s where I’ll be staying. It’s suuuper cool and very reasonably priced!

I’m also living in Amsterdam and these are great places to go BUT when you are in Holland and love vintage design go to Fabrieknl in Waalwijk (this is nearby Den Bosch on the way to design city Eindhoven). It’s 5000 square meters with the greatest design!

Please, Please do not try cycling in amsterdam if you are not dutch and used to it. I’m an ER doktor and I’ve lost count of all the tourist (mostly american) who I’ve had to treat for minor to serius injuries (one man managed to lose half his brain in a bike accident) caused by bike accidents. cycling in amsterdam is quite different that in the states. So to keep enjoying your hollyday, try public transport it’s good , you can get anywhere and it’s affordable.

Hi, cool stuff and loads of great tips in the comments! One of the things I love is the noordermarket. Lots of the sellers there also sell on etsy and fashion stylists and other fashionistas go crazy there on the cool second hand and home made stuff . Especially the monday market is great, from 9.00-13.00 so get up early, it’s worth it!
