I love Tinas kitchen. How is it possible that I’m not the one living there!? It has everything that I like. Old, scruffy and absolutley wonderful! And its green as well. Perfect. I think I`ll dream of this kitchen tonight.

Agggh! I love, love, love your before-and-afters, but I hate, hate, hate after pictures taken from a perspective different from the before. The kitchen, for example: Is the window above the sink in the after the one to the left of the sink in the before? Perhaps I’m the only dummy who has trouble with this, but it would further enhance the drama of the change I think. Sorry! I go a little batty about such things.

So sweet dude!….my home is very simlar Post War cottage…I have labored over renovations for the past three years. I love your style and your choice in kitchen cabnets. With these old homes that have no real ’style’ (compared to a Craftsmen Bungalow) they have vintage charm but one can ‘play’ more with their updates.

I love that you put replaced the old tub with a clawfoot that actually looks older (and hence, has much more character!) than the “before” tub. I have one (hopefully not too silly) question, though: do people just not have shower curtains, or are these just removed for the photo shoot?

The kitchen is the biggest transformation- so amazing! I was wondering about the sink, too. But I got it, now. Fantastic job! I love the boating sign ;)

Yes! I agree with E. J. I adore your before-and-afters too but I generally get lost as pics perspectives changes (I might be also a dummy), so you feel you are seeing a different place and not the change itself comparing with the original state. Wonderful! I love every single transformation. Well, at most I noticed the room with the red chair. Probably because it’s mixture of all different items and colours.

amy: the yellow paint we used is custom. I first found a yellow laminate I wanted to use for the peninsula, then had paint made to match it.

we have the same metal kitchen sink, did you change out the faucet?

Yay for green kitchens! One of mine had green cabinets simply because I could not resist the name of the paint: luscious moss.

My kitchen is red very red I’m lost on the living room color. Sence these rooms run together I’m thinking of something in the orange hue not bright but muted color. I just don’t know if this is to much? also from my kit/livi you can see the bath that I painted purple. I love this color and need this all pulled together. With the living room color any ideas.
