if there’s one thing a blog can do to make me take notice and become an instant fan, it’s focusing on regionalism. because most of us aren’t able to travel as much as we’d like, we depend on books, magazines, tv shows, and websites to let us visit other cities, countries, and continents through their eyes. so when i heard about a young couple devoting an entire blog to belgian design and talent, i was immediately hooked. tom & stijn recently started i love belgium a fantastic blog that showcases belgian design, culture, art, fashion, and food. i love getting such a focused, intense look at one country’s rising stars and this site has definitely got its fingers on the pulse of young belgium. there are great posts on architecture (private home above by bassam el okeily), hotels, photography, and street art (by the belgian version of banksy, bonom!), but a quick click through their site reveals so much more. if you’re looking for some unique, thought-provoking eye candy today i highly suggest checking them out. they’ve already hooked me from 6-7am this morning, and i have a feeling i’ll be going back for more later today. thanks, tom!
