July 22nd, 2009 - 10:00am now that i’m transferring a bunch of old data and files from my online backup onto the new laptop, i’m going through a dozen or so wishlists and folders of virtual window shopping i’ve saved over the past few weeks. so i thought i’d share some of them today and make room for new wishlists. right now my interests seem to be playing into my astrological sign (gemini) and splitting into two very different camps: darker colors and deep woods, and light, springy hues and fun patterns. i guess there’s always room for both at home…

April 14th, 2009 - 11:00am it’s tuesday and i’m clearing out my wish-list folder on my desktop. with the economy being not-so-fun right now i’ve been doing a lot of window-shopping so i thought i’d share some of my favorite high and lows right now. i seem to be going through a metallic phase right now so i’m leaning heavily on golds and coppers. also, i’m randomly loving the painted ceramic toro negro piece by dfc below. i saw it in person at ten over six in LA and it’s so friendly and happy looking. i know animal heads like this upset some people (that usually includes me) but i really love how happy this one looks in person.

September 26th, 2008 - 10:58am as the weather starts to change and fall drifts in, i’m purging things from our home and from my wardrobe. i love the way it feels to shed layers of clutter and pare down to the things you really love. while de-cluttering our house i thought i should apply my seasonal mantra to my computer as well so here is a BIG things i’m loving post devoted to all of the beautiful designs that have been living on my desktop for the past month or two. i hate to let them go but it’s time to make room for new loves and welcome a season full of rich colors and warm fabrics. i’m so excited for fall!

September 9th, 2008 - 01:00pm it’s sunny in brooklyn today, my cats have cute new (blue) soft paws and bird just opened a new location 2 blocks from my house- it doesn’t get much better than this. so in honor of happy days i thought it would be time to clean out my desktop “things i’m loving” folder and say goodbye to this month’s wishlist items and make room for more window shopping. my favorites are above and below but i wanted to add one more thing that i love: our new hamptons video! i’ve been wanting to add mini-webisodes to the site for a while now and we decided to practice with a little video of our summer trip to the hamptons where we built our hamptons design guide. so stay tuned at 1pm today for the video and a new city guide to the hamptons. until then, here are my favorite things (in shops) from this month, above and below.
