designer johanna basford has just launched a brand new website with her full collection of work available to view. johanna’s work was a big hit last year so it’s fantastic to finally see all of her designs in one place. also, i’m thrilled to share a little peek at her latest collection, set to debut at 100% design this september. “punk peacock” and “delirium” are two new wallpaper designs that johanna has created for the show in london this fall. the bold peacock print is johanna’s first digitally printed wallpaper design and delirium is a rich hand-printed paper embellished with swarovski crystals (above). you can view johanna’s new site, and her full collection of designs, right here. tomorrow afternoon i’ll be posting our 2008 d*s scholarship finalists! after we introduce each candidate, you guys will have one week to choose your favorites. one of your favorites from last year’s scholarship was natalie wright, who took home the second place prize in 2007. after her scholarship win natalie connected with the gang at flavor paper and this weekend she’ll be at icff as part of the flavor paper booth debuting her new line of wallpaper! in addition to that exciting launch, natalie sent over some great images that were part of her thesis work. i love the colors and patterns she works with- they’re so fresh and bold. want more information on natalie’s work? just click here. i’m writing this particular post as i get organized for tomorrow’s (well, today’s) bklyn designs. i only have a few hours to walk the whole show so i’m trying to plan out my walking route with serious precision. so i apologize for the short posts today- i figured i’d let the pictures do the talking today because i’m out of time to write. these beautiful wallpaper designs are all new designs from graham and brown- which will be shown at next week’s icff. click here for more info on graham and brown.
